Verococele-doc doesn't want me to squat

I had an ultrasound and they found I have a mild varicocele. I can't see it or feel it but I'm told it's sometimes caused by heavy lifting and if it gets a lot bigger it can be dangerous. The urologist doesn't want me to squat or deadlift. He said stick to leg extensions/curls. Anybody have any insight on this? It's a major bummer!
